How roll-off delivery and placement works
Delivery goes smoothly when the space is ready. Here is exactly what our driver needs and what we do to protect your property.
Clearance the truck needs
Plan on roughly 60 feet of straight, level space to set the container down and back out, a lane at least 10 to 12 feet wide, and about 23 feet of overhead clearance while the box is tilting off the truck. Watch for tree limbs, power and cable lines, carport roofs and low gate arches.
Protecting the surface
We place boards under the container rails on request, which we recommend for concrete driveways, pavers, stamped surfaces and fresh asphalt. Tell us the surface when you book so the driver arrives ready.
Choose the door direction
Every roll-off has a swing door on one end. If you are wheeling material in, decide before delivery which way that door should face; repositioning a loaded container is not possible.
Street placement and permits
Placement on private property, including your driveway, generally needs no permit. Placing a container in the public right of way, such as the street, usually requires an encroachment permit from the city. Check with your city before you book if the driveway is not an option.
Pickup day
Keep the load level with the top rail, keep vehicles clear of the container and its approach, and leave gates unlocked. If your box fills early, call us for a swap-out and we will pull the full container and set an empty one on the same trip.
